What was up with your Dunsley. We have a Dunsley Yorkshire boiler running 11 radiators in this old listed farmhouse and it is brilliant. Also the Dunsley is approved for use in a smoke controlled area which was an added factor which we had to take into consideration and excluded boilers like the Glenn Farrow.

It was an 8kw multifuel boiler stove, had it running 5 rads and it still used to take the best part of a day to get the system nicely hot on just wood ( seasoned logs checked with a meter), only thing it would work really well was pallets or coal, my hunch is they make better coal stoves than pure wood stoves. We had to put an extra flue damper in just to stop most of the heat going up the chimney and give the boiler a chance to get hot. And finally I'd have had more chance of a night with Kylie than of keeping that thing lit all night.

I have no axe to grind here just saying it how I found it.

Love my little firefox 5 as it heats my small living room which is 16ft by 12ft .After an hour we have to open the living room doors as it gets to hot

Highly recommend a stove thermometer .

My little Stovax Huntingdon 25 does the trick.

When we do our next move I'll be going for a bigger stove with back boiler.

Also contemplating a biomass boiler it's for defo. in the final house.
