I'm with Steve & huck here, no problems with them, & they are quick to use requiring no tools.:thumbup1:

Simple tips;

Don't overfill.

Clean the rim if you get debris there.

Take a minute some time to actually concentrate on how they work, ( doesn't apply to those with a modicum of common sense)...:001_tongue:

Hi,

Try as I may to get these things to work every time I fit them, they dont. Its not only the fiddly bit to get the bung in but the fact they have a myriad of crevices which harbour sawdust, all of which is destined for the tank.

Just what was wrong with a screw in bung, to change it for this? To be honest, If I could get a plastic cork to fit properly, Id rather use that. Its like they actually want your oil/fuel tank to fill with sawdust.

Until now I thought the only company capable of ruining a good idea was Microsoft, but no Stihl, you run them a very close second. I would enjoy using my saw a whole lot more, had the spotty faced geek you let loose in your design department on that fateful day when all sense departed, had never been born.

</rant>

So my next saw will probably be another Husqvarna

And, most importantly, buy Husqvarna.

I think they've got rid of these caps. My KM 90 and BR430 have black caps with two edges on them for twisting. It's easier than the older caps to do unless your hands are cold. Not sure if it's only because these two models have been 'updated' recently (although the only other change on my kombi system is the choke level is differently shaped so stihl can use 1g less of plastic) or if they've switched over all stuff to the new caps. But put the old ones on write and there's never an issue!
