All great saws . 254 I would say is legendary in the woods . Superseded now by 550 but that doesn't suddenly make it bad .....

All good, the 254 is a classic and made Husqvarnas reputation, the 371is an early version of the 372, very similar in all respects, the 346 needs no introduction - a modern day 254 and worthy successor:thumbup:

I figured at £50 a saw it was worth the gamble, some need parts, but the 346 just looks like it needs a new chain, the 254 needs a clutch cover, fuel cap, bar and chain, whilst the 371 needs a lot of parts

And once they're done, think I may send you the 346, was tempted to send the 254, but then I realised that porting the saw would give more power to the heated handles, and I don't fancy bursting into flames just yet

Older huskies and stihls just to high in vibes to consider as a day in out saw any more IMO .. My hands have never felt better from using 3 and 5 type huskies over last 5 years

Yeah, but I'm young, so my hands are fine right now, I'll worry about vibes when I'm old and my hands fall off
