hey,

just wondering if anyone knows where i can buy up-rated ear muffs, as the husky muffs i have atm leave my ears ringing after a long day at work, and when on a training course i met a bloke who had non standard ones, spsecifically brought to cope with the heigher noise levels of a chipper, but i cant find whats on offer or where to get them.

any help much appreciated.

im new here so forgive my blunderings. lol.

cheers

I heard the Peltor Chipper muffs are better?

Got some 2 quid ones from a hss hire shop that were much better than the husky ones but don't go with a lid too well, headband type.

I have the chipper spec ear muffs on my ground helmet, They are much much better than normal ones, Ask Jonesie on here if he stocks them mate, Im sure he will be able to sort you out!!

I use husky ones at the moment but if I'm using a saw or chipper for a long period of time I sometimes use the 'in ear' foam ear plugs aswell as my muffs. Might look at getting some new chipper type muffs at the next trade fair.

The Sordins are good. I was given a price of ~£20 +VAT to fit them to my existing helmet and ~£30 and no VAT for a complete new helmet with Sordins - look into that.
