I might add that losing weight has never been my primary goal....I certainly haven't been keeping my portion sizes down, if anything I have been eating more

To be fair, once you've conquered your sugar addiction, this is less of a diet and more of a lifestyle, which I find exceptionally easy to follow. I've just had a whole 500g pack of salad with 3 chopped boiled eggs, a sprinkle of grated cheese and some mayonnaise.

 

I'd genuinely rather eat that than a roast dinner with ice cream to follow. God knows I never thought I'd say that.

 

Most people are miserable on diets because they follow the wrong advice, and try to limit fats whilst stuffing themselves with sugar in the form of carbs. Your body is craving more food to store, it's getting all the wrong messages.

What's your mayo recipe Doobin? Everything in the shops is full of sugar so I'm presuming you make your own.

Just been weighed for the first time since starting this diet, 22lbs lost since christmas

 

Quality result - I bet you didn't realise there was that much to spare! I like to use Accumeasure BF calipers to clock whether or not the weight loss is due to subcutaneous fat or muscle loss.

 

In fact Steve, there is a picture of what you too can look like using them at the bottom left of this page - the cheesy smile is compulsory...

I could do with a pair of those, be interesting to see the results proper. I'm just going on visual at the moment and I don't believe i've lost any muscle mass, just fat
