At the risk of missing the point, could you just...er, not get a new £15k 4x4? Do you need one?

18 years old, not even passed driving test, not qualified from college yet....

Sorry to be blunt but you could save alot of money! :D

if you buy a near new motor you will lose the old motor discount ,just check what it will cost to insure a new motor ,

Yes, I've contacted aviva regarding this and they said it'll be a similar price. They said that the insurance group it is classed in is lower than my mazda is in.

It is true about the level of insurance being lower... Due to the smaller engine , mine cost but £900 to insure for the year....

I understand you can be concerned! I'm 18 and my test is on the 27th. I've discussed with the company and they are happy for me to test drive it in Febuary. Also I will be doing my trailer test once I have passed, as I will be in the right frame of mind without any bad habits. :) I am not going to be able to afford to buy a 30k truck out right, but have looked into finance options. (Although the truck I am interested in is £15,000 and from savings and a small family loan I will be able to afford it). as you are probably thinking it is, I can assure you nothing at all is dodgy!

youv got to pass yr test 1,st ,havnt you,so whos driving the mazda if you cant ?? would you not be better keeping the mazda till you gain some road sence ??
