The old 365 was 65cc, then the special came along (70.7cc), the current x-torq version is also 70.7cc

The special also had the bottom end of a 372 so slightly over engineered saw that would go on for ever ....:001_smile:

my one is 365 xtorq 70.7 cc and like i said you be pulling for a month of sundays if you use the decomp valve i now use it with out and start 2nd or 3rd pull and its no harder to start on pull effort to a ms181

Thats the way to go then !

the decompression buttons 'work to well' and there is barely enough compression left for the saw to fire.. thus it takes alot more effort.

stock 365/372's do not have uber high compression to start with...

just dont use the decomp, the starter assemblies are plenty strong enough to take the extra force. not a fix, but its just one of those things

My guess would be the de-comp buttons are not poping out when it fires . Could be a faulty batch of de-comps ? My 10 year old 372 XP pops it out on the first cough on choke and you have to push it back in for the next pull .

Could be something along those lines. Our 3120 doesn't pop the decompression valve but still fires and runs ok though, thank GodI ! I wouldn't want to have to start it without the decomp valve!
