Arghh all is clear now !

Nothing that gets converted into logs in my yard is classed as waste. Look at all the forums on here off course you can run a biomass system of sawdust, chips, bark etc.

I would run one off the slabwood/offcuts from the sawmill, or all the small stuff that get screened off before being bagged as firewood

Ok so tell me about James Jones Aboyne? and Hill of Banchory CHP (Combined Heat and Power)?

Yes been to both of them too

There are chip boilers, which require quite specific chip, due to the arguer feed and wood boilers, which cannot burn sawdust, unless you wish to burn your home down (as someone I know did)

There may be huge systems that will deal with mixed crap like sawdust and bark, but there not the smaller mainstream type boilers being discussed here.

If some one could come with a smallish boiler that would burn mixed crap or even arb produced chip, they would make a fortune.

Yes I agree totally it depends on the size I was meaning industrial sized units which I have seen a lot of not the domestic ones.

The log pro might not take sawdust&bark but there are plenty of Kilns that do run of this sort of thing

Agreed the bigger industrial units will accept all sorts of waste wood. As you say the Log Pro will not accept everything. In terms of waste , it will run well on firewood processor waste and up to 10% sawdust ans 20% chip, though both sawdust and chip would have to be added at the top of the fuel whilst the boiler is running to avoid any risk of blocking the vents.
