Wooden Log Boxes Instead Of Vented Bags

Just been speaking to a a company that makes these wooden log boxes, same as potato boxes but have larger and better air flow. Am going to get a few to try, anyone else use them instead of bags?

I use potato boxes, just for myself. I got some 'uneconomical to repair' for free from my local merchant and reduced them in height(as I found them too deep to get the logs out of the back) used the wood from the tops to do the repairs. now hold 1m3 and easer/lighter to move.

That sounds strong money Ben! Would you not be better off with IBC cages?

Crates/cages stay rigid. Bags stretch!

I was thinking of knocking a few up based on decent pallets which would hold say half a truck load each just as a back up supply. They won't be worth £50 each!

So put the price up a little to compensate for the stretch ! the only benefit I can see is you could stack boxes higher that bags but at £50 a go that's going to take some making back.In my opinion

 

First year I have tried vented bags as well as loose loads bags are the way to go for me
