:confused1: Two 7' trees down, two bushes down and bush trimmed up would take you a whole day????????????:confused1:

Sounds more like two hours work to me???

yes it is 2 hours work but if it cant incorporate into a days work with say 4 hrs work else where it takes time to get there ,fuel etc.

my point is its easy to say 120 quid but is it worth that?no!

its worth 200 quid .especially if it messes up the rest of the day.

2 man team needs to generate 1200 a day or gone where i come from....:001_tt2:

don't price this type of work by the hour or you will never ever make any money.Always give a price for the whole job to be done according to the difficulty factor,Access and tools to be used,Removel of brash, chipping, cord wood and log's etc.wheather removeing of site or moveing to somewere on site to be burnt etc. This all takes time and you will learn that the jobs you think will take a short time to do most times turn out to be the one's that take the longest to do.this job sounds like 2 hours may be 3 max £120 in out get your money and move on to next job which you could fit in easy same day.

Would just like to add that the more Establised firms would charge £300 plus. But you are just starting out and you have I guess not a lot of overheads? so don't price yourself out of getting the job.It could always lead to more work in the long term if you get it,do a good job and at a realistic price.

If its a mate of a mate and he wants it done cheap, whenever then my guess is he is expecting you to come in around £50 - £75

He knows you are just starting out so will be happy to use you as your overheads are low, he could probably do it himself in a couple of hours but doesn't want to get his hands dirty and is happy to help out with some work your way if your willing to do it cheap

Your initial description if the work looks like a slow to make it last 2 hours or done and dusted in 1 if dragging the stuff across the garden for him to burn

Its your first job, so itll take a little longer fuel oil for the strimmers etc isnt going to be much at all £5 got a silky use it bud👍

Put in for £150-£160 till you have completed the job. That way you can take your time clean up spotless and wait for the fire to die down abit if client isnt.

Sounds like £30 to me and catch when passing.:sneaky2:

4 blips with a saw and that's the felling sorted and a once over something else with a hedge cutter.:001_rolleyes:

Unless there 7' high oak stumps 4 ' wide and the bushes are the Rhodes are big enough you could hide a lorry behind then don't go bonkers, especially if it's your first job.

Calculating how much fuel you use in a saw is taking it a bit far , a gallon of 2 stroke mix can make you a few £K, don't focus on the little twigs when there's a huge pile of brash needing chipped:laugh1:
