Can anyone tell me roughly the m3 of chip that can fit in the average lwb crew cab transit sized chip box.

I'm trying to find out which sized tipper trailer would carry a similar volume (all weight limits aside).

Many thanks

It depends on how high you build it

depends how high you make your sides... ive got a 10ft x 6ft 6 tipping buck, I made the front into a tool locker and made my sides up to carry 4 cube.. you could get a crew cab buck to carry 4 cube with the sides around cab height as a guess???

About 3.5 i think when we measured ours up and allowed for the angle of slope off the back. I wouldnt recommend it though the odd occasions ive done it the tires look like they would go pop if you threw a mint on top.

Got a lot of conifer to chip up on a job next week did a bit of calculating the other day, between using my landy 130 with my trailer or to hire a 8 ton AS trailer and tow with tractor it worked out I would be carrying 0.2 m3 less

Ok so it sounds like you'd need a pretty large high sided trailer to carry a similar capacity then. More likely to be legal though.

Not really, the trailer I built holds a little over 3 cube and is a tiny looking box really. It's approx 1.8x1.8x1ImageUploadedByArbtalk1386282818.707629.jpg.896dc980f653f321ca866c20eefd00d4.jpg
