Get your maximum legal weight on the van checked on weight bridge, with the load evenly distributed or where it needs to be to get the axle weights right, and measure down from mud flats, or tow bar, or any fixed point on body work, front and back and you`ll have a rough reference point to repeat a maximum load.

I havent had chance to try it yet but we are planning to put a pressure guage on the hydro tipper. Put 1 ton in the back tip it up a bit and read the pressure! :thumbup: the theory should work and I know of people who had done similar on agri trailers. In practice it will probably be inaccurate!

Never even thought of doing that. You could try tilting when empty and when full to get some sort of calibration. The other thing to do would be measure the height of the body from the ground when legally loaded and not exceed that.
