Some nice shapes there Squirrel, which tools do you use to turn your bowls - that leave those 'pole lathe type' turning marks, which btw I think work well, or have you in fact turned that lot on a pole lathe with hook tools?

I use both a pole and power lathe. These were all done on a power lathe just using a few bowl gouges. The finish on a wet bowl from a well made cut gives a better finish than a sanded finish. Once these guys are dry and oiled they should look even better.

Set my lathe up last week and made my first large bowl . It took all day so I think some where my technique is massively wrong , even bent a gouge trying to hollow it ! Gave up trying to get any real depth was scared the cracks would spread , may go back to it if I can improve my technique when I know what I'm doing but really enjoyed it any way
