Started this cedar bowl today, bit wobbly to begin with![ATTACH]180234[/ATTACH]

It had a bit of rot and rather a large knot, haha![ATTACH]180235[/ATTACH]

Managed to remove all bits of rot and sanded ready for hollowing out soon![ATTACH]180237[/ATTACH]

 

cedar really surprised me, makes lovely bowls

Some nice work and lovely bits of wood there Mr Hamadryad , is the last one Ash burr? Good to see you are spotting the potential in the odd / character bits of wood you come across in this trade , not the sort of stuff you can buy in a shop , keep it up and post your results !! Where in the country are you ?

yes it is ash butrr, i love it, even more than oak burr, so delicate and subtle:001_tt1:
