Glad to bear its not finished, it didn't have finish that you normally get on your stuff.

Yeah cant wait for u to get ur new nova. Might be best to take the head stock off bud. ( bolt underneith centre ) Its weights a ton and i all most put me back out putting it on the stand.

 

O with that oak dish i used a dovetail to hold it on the chuck so the centre will be slightly raised

Hey Dan have you tried turning a green one thin and sticking in the microwave for a couple of minutes?

 

 

That is green bud. But no i wont be putting wood into the wave. Our lass would kill me lol.

Will continue on it tomorrow.

Just got a spur centre and colejaws for the nova2 chuck, so i might reshape and turn the dovetail out
