I have just got a zigzag and really like it. Used to use a hitch and on bigger trees used to leave the tail of the rope over another branch and then disconnect from my harness and pull tail of rope to get hitch back over branch and back to me. saves climbing back up. is there any way to do this with a zigzag as when you pull the tail the whole system will go up to anchor point. Hope this makes sense

Tie a slip knot above the zz and clip the bottom carabiner to it so it can't slip anywhere, always did this with the hitchclimber as it did slip up 1day just out of reach which was not easy to sort.
