Just out of interest do any of you members actually know a Royal Marine, and for those ex RM please forgive my question, its just to gauge the average perception of RM on Arbtalk, and don't worry I will tell you of my own characteristics..

 

Yes I do . When he is not on duty he is a keen equestrian competitor and a skilled horse man . This has no bearing on the original post . Just answering the question .

I think this sums it up nicely, utter stupidity, even carry out such actions knowing it is being recorded in the first instance

A sorry episode indeed. He is in jail, not so much for what he did, but for allowing head-cam footage of it happening. Once the ball starts rolling in these incidents, it all gets out of hand. It shouldn't have been filmed, it should have been deleted, whoever 'found' it should have deleted it...and the Police should have dropped it. All in all, a bad day for Royal and a good day for the enemy.

Please don't bottle it , try to think of the worst day of your life , x it by 10 or more if you already receive medical support for depression on life ie ( Fungi, trees, Stihl ms200, OR Husky or not , work , staff ) then try to think of a day as a serviceman , on the front line, fighting for YOU, TRYING NOT TO BE BLOWN UP BY AN IED OR TO BE SHOT, sorry cap locks stuck on bit, then consider mne A's position ................Life ,come on I'm sorry , but I' m going all out in support of mne A.

Here here it's a joke, what about when the boots on the other foot, they wouldn't think twice a bout killing not only soldiers but women or kids.
