My first jeep was a little four track, the 2.8 commercial. I loved it!

They were brilliant jeeps and amazing at towing.

I didn't realise they did a 4 seater.

I'm sure you will have realistic expectations of £400 , 19 year old jeep.

Good luck

I had one for years. Was a p reg a bit more modern but but pretty much the same. Sills were rotting a bit after I'd abused it for a few years. Think they did a galvanised one as well. Engine bullet proof, got a load of bits in the shed if you want em. Great little truck, towed anything and never let me down

Whooly owned by Toyata, i believe.

Popular with the farming community here at one time.

Very very highly rated for their towing capabilities.

Reputably as tough as they were thirsty though.

I had a 1989 commercial from new (rear leaf springs), then later a 97 commercial (independent). I regularly towed 3.5 tonne (sometimes more) as well as doing motorway trips solo.

They were brilliant

I sort of have a hankering after another if I could find a pristine late model.

£400 is steep for an 84 reg with no MOT- it had better be spotless on the rust front.

I think that age will be a 2.0 litre diesel engine, not the much admired later 2.8 litre.

Tread carefully and be ready to walk away.
