I had one for years. Was a p reg a bit more modern but but pretty much the same. Sills were rotting a bit after I'd abused it for a few years. Think they did a galvanised one as well. Engine bullet proof, got a load of bits in the shed if you want em. Great little truck, towed anything and never let me down

i got a 96 fieldman, engines are bullet proof, rot is a problem but nothing can be sorted if you know a good welder, watch for steering play as arms and bushes could be gone, early gear boxes have a nut problem that comes loose and stops second gear and reverse, a good example will run for ever if looked after properly, very capable trucks

I had a 1989 commercial from new (rear leaf springs), then later a 97 commercial (independent). I regularly towed 3.5 tonne (sometimes more) as well as doing motorway trips solo.

 

They were brilliant

 

I sort of have a hankering after another if I could find a pristine late model.
