Agree with my 560.. I feel the mesh restrict exhaust gasses a little.. and in colder climates like ours its a no brainer.

 

No need for them here either....

 

I believe the restriction is about 20% with a clean screen.

I think they are put on for Cali regs but I always first thing before even starting a new husky is take them out.

Required on this side of the pond to work on State or Federal property.

I take them out of my top handle saws. Not worried about a fire up a tree.

 

I leave the screw out when not running a screen so that the screw doesn't become stuck or lost.

 

Cleaning is easy with a spray can of carburetor cleaner and a old tooth brush. Dissolves the oil and carbon quickly.
