I own an x27 that I really like and am looking for a second axe but have decided on the Gransfors maul.

Ahh. I've not spoken to anyone yet but need to order quite a few bits and pieces and was going to add it in with that.

 

There are several of us who use the axes on log days so will give a review from all of our perspectives.

Hope so Bob, was a bit worried at how light it felt but had a go at some gnarly old bits of beech and got through them surprisingly easily.

Aye bob, was under the impression it was "sharp for cutting, blunt for splitting"

I think blunt is fine for softwood but maybe a bit of an edge for hardwood.

Just my opinion of course!
