Your local dealer is a goon, it's listed up to 28 inch on every site selling them, I had 28 on mine, it pulls it awesomely.

 

You can go 32 too, on 3/8's chain but I never got round to trying it.

That just what I need and expert, not a garden machinery shop!! we don't have anyone local that understands the needs of the professional user!:thumbup:

Petemate390xp is another good guy to speak to, he's got a 42 inch on his super modded 390 :-)

I used to have a 390XP - and you can run a 28" bar on it no prob.

 

 

A few options Guide bars

 

 

Got the new Sugi light type bars in 28" and still have not changed the price yet..... but doing that this morning!
