It drives me barmey!

People calling the work phone up untill 9pm!

Its got to the point where Ive taken out a second contract for personal use, and switch off the work phone at 7pm.

Problem solved..... Untill I flailed my personal phone!

Just 5 minutes ago, phone rings. Made the mistake of answering it!

The most demanding woman, who wanted me to came and carry out the work she needed doing tomorrow!?

How much was it going to be when I haven't even seen it!?

When I said we couldn't do it for at least a week, and that I needed to see it first I was bombarded with more questions!

Why would there be more than one person on site! How long would I guess it would take etc etc.

Rant over, thanks for listening!

I will take a work call whenever, works work, I know we need time off etc but best not turn it away, and if some person calls at daft o'clock then add a couple of hundred on the quote lol. I had a customer ring me on a Friday night about half 8 demanding I come and sort a fallen branch, when I said I couldn't he asked why? I told him I was in Penrith and was 5 Stella's in! He said tomorrow would be ok!

Quite right, and I wouldn't ever turn it away. But at the same time, I would never call a tradesman at 8.15pm! And start ordering him about !

Still, will be some expensive hedge cutting !

Work phone

Private phone

Works for me, whether you should be grateful of the enquiry or not...you need time off.

If you don't set barriers you will regret it and stress will get the better of you, you may not realise it till it's too late. If you want to know what I mean by that ask Andy Collins

I get people telling me when I moan about it that I should be greatful I have the work coming in. I've worked very hard to get my name known in a good way, by doing good jobs correctly, politely and with respect. Sitting by the phone and answering calls at all hours of the night is not what I call good business

Those were the days, £1 curry in the Wolfe. Then as much ale as I can get down my neck in the lowther. Then, the warehouse.......
