I climb with my phone. I don't answer while climbing. Occasionally will text while waiting for bits to be cleared on the ground. If the call is urgent and it keeps ringing ill answer.

As for people who work for me. They can use there phone at lunch. It's very rarely there isn't something to do, on the off chance they isn't make your self not been seen by the customer, but as soon as there is stuff to be done again phone down and back to work.

Yeah waiting for you to throw the next bit down at me so I can get it in that chipper. Why I love the green mech soon much, it will take as much as I can throw in it and by then time I got the next bit in my hands it fed it through.

At your age it's just natural for the body to slow down a bit. :001_tt2::lol::lol::lol::lol::001_tt2::001_tt2:

I Dont think we need A MUCK TRUCK Mate:laugh1:

any jobsites i,ve been on GCA costain airports water treatment works etc use your phone and your off site and banned from any other sites too as its noted in your records sp i guess when they check your cscs card and other details etc. I was once working on manchester airport airside and the son of one of the formen had been in a scuffle outside a pub in wales over the weekend but was escorted from site and i never seen him come back on while i was there for over 2 years how they know i,am unsure maybe disclosure but i would be thinking if your using your phone your not focused on whats going on around you and your workmates etc not good

Seems like we are mostly on the same wave length. I do realise now that i was "out of order" expecting him to talk to me when asking for work instead of arranging his social life.

When he turned his back, i thought "ignorant little b*****d !", then i thought is this a distraction attempt, or is he telling some one what kit i have ?, however, apart from what i was using(my treebusta)everything else was locked in the van, apart from the silky on my belt, so my kit was safe.

I'd turned the busta off when he approached, so i started it back up again as he was on his phone, & he just looked at me scowling & wonderd off.

..."Got any work mate ?"

"I'm a good worker, ask anyone"

Before i had chance to reply his mobile rang, he answerd it with out saying anything to me, then carried on a social conversation with someone.

I then asked him if he was interested in any work, he replied "i'm on me mobile mate", & turned his back on me !

That's a shame for the young lad.... had the balls to ask for work and then screws it up in the space of a minute.... although to be fair i've seen this with older guys who should know better....

Had exactly the same!

Was on a ladder cutting a hedge, groundie holding it stable for me. Lad walking past with his mates shouts " excuse us mate, you got any work going" but he doesn't even slow down! Keeps walking with his mates, whilst I try and pick up a conversation, gave up pretty quick!

How does anyone think they will ever get anywhere acting like that!?
