This ash came down on Monday night into the river! Will post up another tomorrow of the one that's taken out the power lines in our village with it. Powers still off till ''at least'' the weekend. One big tree down in our village this storm vs 1000s in 87 and even then the power was back on in 3 days. So much for privatisation! Terracotta pots and tea light heaters arnt all that btw!ImageUploadedByArbtalk1383083854.791537.jpg.5b46e6dbd2e9b2444e1d8c74e4efe1dc.jpg

Had a few more today, nice sized Salix to strip out and fell that had lost a large leader. Then off round the county making safe. Back to dartford tomorrow to take down a large oak that we cordoned off yesterday. ImageUploadedByArbtalk1383084732.011254.jpg.f6950d32c4f0dcbf78ab76e162357b76.jpg

I had this Robinia to take out, it withstood the wind, but had split in many places, the electric shutdown finally got sorted at 2.30 this afternoon, & it had to get sorted in 2 hours, a couple of telecom wires in the target area, lv cables running through it, & about 70feet tall.

Oh well the thing was as hollow as a Jeremy Clarkson comment, so no great loss!
