Not one call out today! Travelled back up from my other half's in east Kent to home and only saw twigs down so looks like the majority of Kent missed the weather. Stay safe chaps!

This afternoons aftermath clear up. More of the same tomorrow and for the rest of the week. Haven't heard how bad it is in Gillingham/Shafts way yet. If anyone can let me know so i can let the boss know. The sites are Rolls Bridge, Chantry Fields, Hawthorn Avenue, Addison Close in Gill and Castle Hill in Shafts.

 

The last pic was a local landmark in Sturminster Newton up by the mill. Chopped in half by mother nature.

At tescos in diss(Norfolk) top of oak split out and fell on to a foot path, lucky no one was walking under it at the time.

Sycamore on a very skippy roof! Every time I breathed it slipped closer the edge! No anchor point except the conni next to the house!

Over swimming pool and wooden deck of all things !!

Only had this one to deal with and that was on Friday, probably the biggest mass Robinia I've had to deal with. No arial pictures as I was trying to get it down in good time so snapped a few shots where I could when I came down to help chip up

 

The first picture of the crack you could fit 3 fingers in it horizontal, when the weight was removed you could only fit one in!! I fitted the 10ton ratchet strap to help support it then rigged up a couple of blocks and tied the main stem of to support an weight change. And just knocked it out in very large bits. Would of felled it but it wouldn't fit anywhere

 

Around about 55ft tall but a good 80/90ft spread on her, approximately 3-4ft dia base

 

All wood left on site and took a good 3t of chip away.

You Must of been driving on roads with no trees, passed at least 10 tree teams today all working away don't normally see any. Covered some miles today though about 230 i think.
