Am I too cheap??

I'm coming into my second year of selling firewood and its going well. I never expected to sell as much as I did last year and with recent sales flying I've decided not to advertise anymore and ensure I keep my customer base that I have. Also make sure I have enough seasoned wood and dry enough as I like to have it well below 20% moisture.

I charge £100 for a 2.4cu meter or softwood and £140 for hardwood

And £145 for a 3.6cu meter softwood and £205 for hardwood

I deliver within 20miles and charge extra if I have to go further.

I can produce firewood with very low input cost as all other equipment except the processor is being used for other projects just finding time to put on the machine.

Hope to see what everyone thinks.

Tell every one it WAS a half price summer sale and its now finished

What you charge is fair, in Bristol (renowned for tightness) most loads seem to be about £100 for a split, dried hardwood tonne bag delivered. And they still winge about that.

trees, waves and cakes!!:-)

eh?

Not surprised they complain about that. If by 1ton bag you mean builders bag (around 0.6 m3)so that's £160 per m3. This guy is selling 1m3 of hardwood for £58

What is a dumpy bag? is that a builders bag??

This is my understanding.

1 tonne, builders and dumpy bag are the same and normally 0.85 x 0.85 x0.85 which equates to 0.61m3. There are vented bags in other sizes. Just to add to the confusion bags bulge when filled so hold a bit more than their measured size.
