Recommended Posts

After mine bedded in it's been superb. Not tried the BDB and would love a review of it if you fancy it? I do flit over to the uni on odd occasions but that's because I still love it a lot.

Hey, guys! I do not own a Rope Runner or a Bulldog Bone, I've just been reading about them both on the various forums. I do own and use the original Rope Wrench ZK-1 and the Hitch Hiker.

The reason for this post is to attempt to post a link to a really cool video by a guy who utilizes two Rope Runners and two climbing lines, in a way I've never seen before. He doesn't say much, but his original post was on Tree Buzz forum.

Here's my attempt at posting a link to his video.

Thanks for your time.

One of the mistakes begginer runner users do is use only the beak of the bird for descent. This will cause the runner to seem jumpy and "all or nothing." The trick is to apply very slight pressure to the beak of the bird to start moving and control speed using the rear of the bird, pressing down on the tether to control the second bollard. You want to control both friction points together and you can get superb control.

Great tip. This is my second week with the rope runner and this made a big difference. Feels like I have total control now. You're the man Kevin.
