When you asked "what is the best " you really meant what do I need , possibly ? The best is definitely Red Line .

Yes I did really, but I do appreciate your suggestion. Had a look, probably over kill for my use. But thanks.

I guess I am interested in what you're all using and your experiences with it.

The Stihl is probably the easiest to get hold of but I just don't know if it's as good as the price of it.

Kind regards,

Marc.

Hey Marc . No worries bud . I use red Line as my saws are ported and rev harder than a standard saw . Any of the known brands , Husqvarna XP or the Stihl one you spoke of will be fine . Best Regards to you matey :001_smile:

I use ISO-L-EGD, low smoke, fuel stabilizer.

Also known as Stihl HP Super, comes in a nice dispensing 1 litre bottle.

Just a quick one. How long does the HP oil last (unmixed) when stored?

Like the smell of that new Stihl green stuff. Reminds me of what we used to put in our RD 250's.....castrol r.

Used Castrol R40 in my old Triumph :001_smile:

There is no use by date on the bottles, I would think it would last a very long time unmixed.
