Picked up my new husky 372 xp x-torq the other day, been using a stihl ms340 for a while. But this new one is just something else. Came with an 18" bar which will do for now. Had a bit of a problem starting it and didn't really want to touch the carb until I'd used it for a bit. Anyway seems I have the knack of getting it going now, now waiting for my next job to put it to good use. It was through reading on here that I convinced myself it is a good saw, so far so good. Time will tell.

Funny this popped up now, as yesterday we "raced" these two saws against each other.

I have a 4 year old 372 that's had a fair amount of work but certainly not tired. My mate bought a new 576 last week and has had 2 or 3 tanks through it now.

Cross cutting a 20" ring of scot pine, there was NO difference in speed.

I know many other comparisons can be made between the old and the new, but I still have that warm feeling knowing the old school stuff needn't be embarrassed!
