Telescopic pole saw comparison?

I'm looking for feedback on a couple of different pole saws.

 

I know there's loads out there, but looking for comments and feedback just on these two as they're what's available from my dealer;

 

Husqvarna HU327PT5S &

 

Stihl HT131.

only used the 4 mix stihl - but they are powerful & with the angles head are a great money maker

I have a Stihl pole saw, and it's one bit of kit I could not be without. Got me out of trouble and has saved me so much time and energy. Solidly built and powerful, I would go for the Stihl. Hope that helps?

The stihl one is a 4mix so you will need the more expensive 2stroke oil ( if you are following the manufacturers recommendations)plus another fuel can to keep it in, mix etc.

 

This might not be an issue if you have other machines running this stuff. But i have found it a PITA having more containers to carry about. (Got a KM130)

 

Something to think about as well as performance which I can't comment on with these models.

I've read a little about the angled head on the stihl, and Mr McTree has told me in the past they are a must, but anyone know if they're available on the husky?

 

Can't find anything myself, so could be a deal breaker?

Never felt the need for an angled head to be honest, but I could see an advantage to have one.

Only used the stihl like others couldn't live with out it.

Have a look at the Kombi. this is much more versatile

anything less than 35cc is a waste of money if you are going

to put it to good use.

I have a stihl 131 4mix its ok, powerful but the 4mix can be trouble.

 

If I was buying again I would get the echo pole pruner ,2stroke and better built than the new stihl.

Plus 1 I have the stihl and am underwhelmed to say the least.

Stihl for me too, never felt the need for the angle head but did bust me nose On Friday trying to overreach to cut a branch, a real time saver in my eye's! + got a hedge cutter head for it which is useful for hacking back or wide tops but a little heavy for fine trimming. Shame husky don't make the backpack model anymore as that was a beastly of a tool
