Tipper back

Hi,

I had a brief look for threads but couldn't find what I was looking for,

I have an ally tipper bed with caged sides and want to board the sides up for signage to stop the chip flying through the mesh.

Is it grp board that is used for board?

Also looking at ally sheeting to bolt or rivet to it but I'm aware it will cost a lot more.

Can anyone recommend somewhere for both in the midlands? I'm in gloucestershire

I would preferably want it to be a full sheet to cover the entire side.

Thanks for any help

Thanks,

I spoke to service metals and they said it would be a good idea to line the inside of the cage with ally to stop chip and whatever else damaging the grp board and make it last longer.

If I'm lining the board with ally plate, is there anything in a plastic sheeting that would do the same job, and cost less?

The outside board, if protected by the ally plate would only really need to look good and be sign written.

Has anyone else used any other types of plastic/PVC/foam board to line the outside do a tipper back?

I am thinking this as it would reduce the weight? And possibly the cost??

Cheers again for the replies,

That's probably overkill, and would be expensive. GRP and even regular ply puts up with chip well enough
