Been doing it today . 45cc Husky strimmer Oregon mulching blade . Do the strait down thing on the bramble then side to side . Rashers off saplings no problem then just tilt the head and push the turned down end into the stalks and it mullers it all up .

It works well but the tips blunt quickly. When is someone going to bring out a carbide tipped version?

Used to be a great head called a Swing Cut. It was savage beast so much so I think they ave been banned in the UK. I have kept one back for when nothing else will do.

i can get through 2-3 inch stuff with the brable type blade. not sure how ggod it is for the machine!!

I love these mulching heads.I`ve been cutting rides through some very dense jungle at a game shoot.It takes on all comers.Theres been 7ft bramble mixed with willow and rowan saplings, blackthorn and elder.Its monstered through the lot on my fs400.

Same ,mulching blades are the dogs, and leaves next to nothing to clear up.

Mulching blades are fantastic but wear alot faster. SAFTEY NOTICE- Recently my blade ripped the whole head off myFS 450. I was using a blount 4mm rather then the normal 3mm. The dealer said it was due to using the slightly more durable 4mm. I hit some clutter under heavy ivy and the blade and head shot off about 20ft. It was so lucky nobody got hurt as it was a busy site. I personally will now stick to stihl 3mm
