Why, oh why oh why?....

I cannot contact the supplier as he's on holiday for a month. I was disappointed with what i received because there'd already been a discussion by email between myself and the seller about what i'd get. I dont think there's much point contacting him when he gets back as he's unlikely to bring more logs without charging more is he? ;)

I still think it was worth me posting on here as giving my point of view as a customer is useful to suppliers. One chap has said that he'll change the way he advertises his logs as a result. I have also seen the different views of suppliers which has been interesting and useful.

HI BOW as your not happy logs off your chap you got them off why did you not go back him and let him try and help you fix it as it not good to come on and have go at the log chap owell thats just me thanks jon

No wonder customers are confused, most firewood companies dont seem to have a clue what they are selling, ton of logs, builders bag, ton bag. from what o can find there are 3 different sizes of builders bags. The stove shops dont have a clue either.

Called 3 local stove shops last week to offer them my wood, all 3 were clueless when it came to volumes of what they were getting delivered.

One of them has a ton of logs delivered for £70, explained was it actualy a ton of logs, after about 10 minutes figures out it was a builders bag, went on to explain the differences between builders bags and cubic metre bags. Went on for a further 10 minutes and it ended with him still adiment he was getting a better deal buying it for £70 for a 750x750x750 builders bag than what i could have done sorting him out a deal for £80 a cubic metre....

If everyone stuck to cubic metres it would be easy!

I think half the time domestic log customers are alot more savvy than they let on. If they cause hassle you will just give in and throw a load of extra logs in to keep them happy. We seem to live in a time if you complain you get something free and for some its an automatic reaction especially if they have the power of feedback or a review.

Very true

In truth though, if customers like you they don't want to complain as it makes them feel bad.

Hi perhaps we should all become woodsure assured quality firewood supplier assured and all sell by the cubic metre ?:confused1:

I only sell by the cube meter bag, no problems here customers know what they are getting ever time.

I got more hassle when I did "loads".
