NFU insurance

The plot thickens.

They never mentioned 80' to me, just 6m which I think we go over about 60% - 70% of the time. They didn't specify man hours so maybe we'd be ok. :confused1:

it seems to me, if you want a quote from nfu, call the kilmarnock office, they do differ all over the country, but this one seems to be the best, i see myself as a branch dragger that climbs here or there. as for above 80feet. probably lucky about 6 times in 10years. above 50 foot, lucky once a month, there is also 24 hrs in a day, and we are ON CALL, so that should make our percentages even less. :001_smile:

Work out how much time you spend above 6m during a working day. Think you might be surprised (unless you are a balls-out contract climber). The key thing is that the policy enables you to work above 6m, just not 24/7.

Bit grey, I must admit.

As stated, responses do vary depending on region.

Maybe NFU have been bought out by the Yanks, and have different laws for different states.

Ive just renewed my insurance after contacting the Kilmarnock office. They were £500 cheaper than my local NFU office, and over £800.00 cheaper than Trust!!!!!!!!!! (my old insurer).

Ive saved an absolute fortune...cheers stephen

I could of but I decided to pay monthly even with the 3% surcharge it was a a total bargain .. I normally pay in one, but the shock of hearing the price probably threw my brain into meltdown.
