Saw looks great Jonathan. Do you need a hand building the shed to protect it?

I am starting to use the sequoia you cut last Setember. It's 3 inches thick and seems to be dry already, and no checking at all. Amazing stuff.

That is a big bit of kit.

It was about 3 years ago that i found out from the saw doctors that it was illegal to use diesel as a saw lubrication. I guess a H&S thing. I can see the point having done it hair arms stank of diesel. You'd end up with a film of it all over you.

I saw plant oil Plantoil - Home Page it's good.

Thanks for the links chaps - I shall certainly investigate.

Nick - might well need a hand aye! Should be putting the shed up the week commencing the 30th of September. Is there a best day for you?

The sequoia is lovely. I just wish that there was more of it.

I am making a coffee table with a wide slab. The legs are sections from the same plank mortised into the top with a splay to make it more stable. I am trying to upload some photos to photobucket to post on here.

Sadly that will be too late, plus I'm doing the Scottish Furniture Makers exhibition in the evening in Glasgow. Thank you for the offer though!
