The top had snapped out the pine ,when we both got to the top the cat walked out on a limb and jumped into a lime next to the pine. So I got down ,got up the lime ,took a ton bag with me. I finally got the cat threw it in the bag. Didn't realise there was a hole in the bottom, luckily the cat was hanging out the bag holding on by his claws. Rolled the cat up in the bag and got down. The owner was in tears and we were in stitches.

shot gun would have been better :001_tongue:

At 25p a pop far cheaper as well. But using a shotgun within 30 feet of a highway or public right of way is an offence.

Likely to have been a newly fledged squab.

I've attempted to rescue 2 cats over the years one jumped from about 60ft up a Douglas fir, hit the floor and ran off, the other was in the dark with a head torch on but was successful! Cats don't like going into bags head first though, u got to back them in!

I got a call yesterday after getting home from work, a friend of mine asking me to come and help him get his parrot, which was 40 foot up a tree. I said yes and went to meet him at the address. Precious, the blue and gold Macor(not sure of the spelling)was in the top of a eucalyptus, I climbed up next to the bird and persuaded her down to my friend with a banana who was up a ladder lower down. The rescue went well, Precious thankfully I think wanted to come down, she had already spent two nights avoiding capture in the local grave yard, flying from tree to tree as soon as my mate got to the top of a ladder. The home owner has also taken my number to come back and price up some tree work.:thumbup1:
