Big Cross Cut Saw - very big Stihl Guide Bar!

Mike I'm pretty sure its for cross cutting butts to length.

 

or for cuttig packs of already milled timber maybe, i think they are called wallsaws nowadays. Seen something like it in action but more modern.

 

 

The bar is possibly the 56"(?) stihl used to do like on the 090.:001_smile:

The pic doesn't do the bar justice - it's 100 inches long!!!

 

Mainly used to cut packed timber but can do anything; would be ace for ringing real big stuff. Saw chain is electrically driven, pivots from the bottom, free end of bar rides down the arch frame hydraulically driven. Ripping chain...:001_smile:
