If you were going to spend 9k on a crane would you put it on a used trailer that needs work. 400kg is alot of weight for the hitch to handle and not great for the truck if its loaded. It put less nose weight on if you stretch the crane out and secure on the tailboard.

Not sure putting the weight directly on the drawbar is a good idea imo, and that is a fair bit of weight with the stabilisers. here is how mine is fitted, but it still needs to be stretched out when unloaded.

Officially 1000kg at 3.2mtrs but it can go way over than that before it's safety relief kicks in.

Full out is supposed to be 520kg at 6.2mtrs but again it can do more without trouble.

 

I would be completely lost without it now.

That is a very nice tidy unit, would like to have had the sides on mine but needed to cut as much weight as possible, so just kept the tailgate for advertising space.
