I love my carbons but u do need to think about where ur walking...tarmac/concrete/stoney paths need to be avoided!

 

Btw, i have the velcro top/buckled foot.

 

No complaints but it really is a "want" rather than a need. Difficult to justify the extra money over a regular steel or even ali but if u have the extra cash lying around...go for it. U will luv em.

I have the carbon ones for the last 6 years very comfy, I will be replacing the them with the Ali ones though, full Velcro as I find the Velcro bottom strap more comfortable than the leather buckle strap and allows you to adjust where your foot is placed.
