hope hes ok mate a had the same happen to me at college a lassie from bristol that was on the course fell 25 ft and broke her elbow lucky thats all she broke turned out she had roped in to a small branch and it broke.

makes you think and double check your gear and position

Hope he is allright.

 

 

Same thing happened at our college, practice was to use both ends of rope, on change over he managed to clip into wrong end or something, straight out of the tree onto the deck!

Minor injuries iirc back climbing a few weeks later. Lets hope its the same for this fella.

 

They changed practices then and used a side strop instead.
