salt/ grit for winter

anyone got any in yet for winter. going to buy a few bulk bags for our yard while prices reasonable . last years price i think was about 85 a bulk bag went up to 150 when winter came. any body found out what prices are this year or purchased any yet?

When it comes to long term forecast they really are clueless, I remember hearing it was going to be another wet, cold summer, a week before that long hot, dry spell.

 

I would always try to have yourselves covered what ever comes, it would be great to cash in if it is another hard one, but IMO its not worth loosing your shirt if it isn't.

We have a council salt bin at the top and bottom of a steep incline on the road to my yard, people come from far and wide to help themselves then when we need it there's none left

 

Yep they do that on our road, all pinch it to grit thier drives and then theres none left to grit the hill down to the main road, then they moan they can't get out or in :001_rolleyes:
