11kv lines is a utility approved operator job, they normally do the clearances themselves, crazy safety distances involved, look at the job, smile, shake your head whilst making sucking noises through you teeth, and walk away, these are the jobs not worth getting involved with

its a shutdown simple as , cant see them doing a shutdown and letting joe bloggs do the work without the right training and tickets . which you cant have.as you asked a silly question . make a mistake and it could be your last as **** happens. sorry dude thats the way i see it

yes ive done many shutdowns, theres not really any risk with a shut down though :confused1: live work is where the tickets and training comes into it. i asked a simple question i dont see how its silly. the jobs not that complex, the power company had at look at it for me there not that bothered about it he said we will get a shutdown at some point to clear it away from the wires.

you say you hope to cut it and it will brush off the wires while they are live , come on dude . you wont be on any hv shutdown without the codes and tickets , and that alone should ensure you know better than to hope it goes right . stick to the rules and be safe thats all im getting at dude

That was a joke saying about felling it! The client who is 60/70odd said he would do it him self thought it would just be a simple drop it job :001_huh:
