Nugent looks good to me, quoted £3850 inc mesh kit by my local dealer, how does that compare?:confused1:

£3750 here inc mesh kit and LED lights  Can have 195 tyres if I want which lowers deck and centre of gravity.

Have yet to look at bateson; reckon the nugent will be stronger but I've got a soft spot for Bateson.

Here's the quotes I had:

1) Ifor - £3045 basic trailer + £420 mesh kit + £270 ramps + £210 LEDs

2) Nugent - £3670 basic trailer + £480 mesh kit + £350 ramps + £free LEDs but offer £3750 all in

3) Bateson - £3090 basic trailer + £380 mesh kit + £140 ramps + £95 delivery, no LED option.

All plus VAT.

Probably won't bother with ramps.

That's a good price, reckon I'm going for the Nugent mainly as it has leaf springs and looks stronger than the new gen ifor, will haggle it down to £3750 tho !! :001_tt2: Did your £3750 include ramps, couldn't quite decide from your post? I think the 195 tyres is a sensible option as I may use mine for shifting a small tractor.

No ramps not inc. in that price. The ramps offered are either 6' or 8' alloy but the slots in the trailer will take anything that fits!

Bateson annoyingly only fit skinny 155s on four stud hubs; asked to go up - was told "no".

Here are both in pics:

Does the ifor ramps include the ramp fitting kit that you need for the tipper in that price ?

The Nugent flat beds look nice but are very heavy.

Yes the £85 ramp rests kit was inc the price I posted above.

I can't understand the Nugent being thought of as heavy as the IW 3017 is 870kg unladed weight whereas the Nugent TT1059 is 760kg :confused1:

My nugent quote was from Roger Young, Saltash.

I have a TT 105 10x5 Ifor, its a very useful bit of equipment, I recently bought some steel ramps for it and it has become even more useful, it is well built and made to last. I have had to replace the electric junction box under the chassis recently and I was dreading it but I ordered the box online from an Ifor dealer and it was here next day. All the wires just slot on to marked connectors and that was that. The other Ifor trailer I had needed some of the steel replacing, I got onto the dealer who didn't have them in stock but got them sent direct from Ifor and took about a week as the had to get them laser cut to order. If I was you I would look around for a good second hand Ifor before the build quality changed.

I've already got a second hand one and wanting a new one. The widely reported drop-off in Ifor quality has put me off tbh; the nugents seem to have picked up where Ifor left off - certainly in this part of the world anyway; lots of defenders and Discos towing them around cornwall.

Another one highly reccommended is a Dale kane trailer also of NI. £3150 basic trailer, mesh £485, ramps £180 + vat.

At this point it starts coming down to dealer / service / parts.

Nugent are at Saltash so minutes away from me in PLY, Bateson in Honiton - a good hour plus, and a Dale Kane over the channel!
