I use keen ones when I go fishing abroad bought them about 5 years ago and still look like new. There great as the toes are protected which is great when climbing about on Rocky banks etc.

Something with Teva, (I suspect true of other open-toed sandals too.) My brother bought his the correct size and on occasion has stubbed a toe, leading to some pain. So when I bought mine, I intensionally got them a half size too big. Now I've stubbed the sandal but not my toes.

My trusty Rockports have finally collapsed after about 15 years.

Can anyone recommend some decent walking sandals (with rear strap etc.), preferably brown leather-ish.

I promise not to wear them with white socks.

At.

Rockports!....that takes me back!

They were the best walking/action sandals at the time.

I have a couple of pairs of Merrell's that i think are very good.

Bolam, just buy some trainers. I think you need to get over your fear of trainers.

If you buy some trainers there is no need to kill yourself. You might even realise wearing them gives you a bit of style!

Trainers are hot, sweaty, bling and you have to wear those gay little socks with them. Suits you sir!

Teva Fossil Canyons ordered.

Thanks for the input fellas.

I hate trainers too Mark, but these are good Trespass, just a mesh all round really, I use them for any summer hiking, kids stuff, and great for wading in rivers, the beach etc....
