a rare turning commission from a joinery firm not far from me.

 

i went there to find a bit of workshop space to rent and came away with a job.

 

it's a roof finial for a gable end. i got given the classic "customer drawing" and the main post which they had machined up and i had to do the top and bottom bits.

the customer got a joinery company to get that done. they arrived to me in octagonal form ready for turning.

 

i do have a picture of the table he made somewhere but i can' find it.

i'm trying to get back on my feet and turning again which i've just about managed to do.

i finally finished a rolling pin i was asked to make before the move and it's now with a happy customer.

 

24" long is a big rolling pin.
