just remembered i asked this question last night, does it mess with the saw or is this the way forward with top handles?:001_smile:

 

Makes them sound better for a start :001_smile: (although I dont know if it would be allowed by HSE standards :001_tongue:)

 

Tbh I didnt notice much of a difference power wise but I have heard that some say it really makes a difference.

 

You drill a 13mm ish hole in the exhaust next to where (if you can remember ) they used to have a removable spark arrestor on the 020T.

You then have to adjust the carb because it breathes better and will over rev.

can you do it really wrong and ruin a saw:ohmy:

 

i really rat the saw pod though, i always get the saw the wrong way on my harness

Prob not, you might ruin an exhaust just make sure you turn the high speed needle CCW abit, you want it to run at 14,000 rpm no matter what mods it has etc (well there abouts ish)

 

You 'should' remove the exhaust before drilling the hole and make sure all the swarf is flushed out of the exhaust before you run the saw.
