having just bought the fast tach Spud, do you therefore use the max feature and adjust back from that, as I noted on a hedge trimmer the reading was dancing all over.

getting ready to fine tune the 090 2mrw morn in the neighbour hood. you know, a 137cc wake up call of the greater stihl bird type :laugh1:

Personally I use the non max setting and just hold the saw on max revs for half a second.

The hedge trimmer "dancing all over" will have a limited coil - best to turn the H screw out to over one turn out and then bring it in gradually, regestering the max revs until you hit around 500rpm under maximum or leave it at the point it starts jumping all over the place - limited coils make the job a bit more fun:lol::lol:

I have been doing it for years on my 200t's.

Makes them run a treat. Just one 13mm hole rather than 2x6mm holes.

The hardest part was getting hold of the 13mm drill bit.

Rich, could you mark the place where the 13mm hole needs to be please?

If you remove the exhaust there is a pipe inside the housing. I just drill through the outer lining the hole up with the inner pipe.

Hang on Ill just take a picture and post it for you...

Nice one Rich 😀
