True, but......

Our defender has had a JE engineering stage 1 remap (175bhp, 380NM), EGR valve blanked off & the strangling CAT removed, as well as having heavy duty coil springs all round!

Yeah I see that on another thread, it's not a question of power, anyway you loves yours, so enjoy, I would never have another.

Turning circle=like a supertanker

Reliability=no words needed

Ability to hold oil in axels,gearboxes etc=incontinent

General finish=so bad it's funny (do doors ever shut without a fight?)

Good off road and a good tower, but knocked into a cocked hat by anything Japanese.

Yours looks good mind.:001_smile:

My l200 has a backyard developments stage 3 kit on it bhp???NM??? smoke LOTS :001_smile: CAT, frontbox,backbox (infact everything after the down pipe) removed as well as having heavy duty coil springs on the back (think they where off a defender) just to give the old leaf springs a hand:001_smile: does the job whithout issue and later on in the year it'll be having a tipper bed put on the back and a respray of the cab and chassis while the tubs off. Best part is when i bought the truck it cost me £900:001_smile::001_smile::001_smile: don't get much defender for £900 :lol::lol:

I started with an L200 - good to start with, but skittish in the wet and expensive to service. As the miles piled on it just couldn't cope - especially when towing large trailers with big mowers or timber. Not that good off-road. When the going gets really bad, we put these tyres on the Defender!ImageUploadedByArbtalk1372403551.014339.jpg.25a48f6fe46214c784e6d768554d98e5.jpg

Hahaha i love them where can i get a set :) I'm plumbing in the propane injection in next week:thumbup1: can't see me having too much of a problem towing after that. Mind you don't have hany problem now with the pump and turbo cranked up.

I've decided to get another pickup for the fleet and i've been toying with the idea of doing a disco trayback/tipper like Andy treequips starting with a 4.0ltr v8 on lpg and belly tank. I worked out that with the price difference taking into account efficiency loss of gas it would have to be doing 10mpg to equal price per mile of a td5 when working ie towing loaded up with chip.
