Yet it works really well guys. In the event of an emergency, you run to the truck, break the emergency glass on the emergency secateurs box, race back, cut the sapling, and the stump slowly lifts lowering your climber to safety.

PETZL's "huit" fig.8 has a square top which is supposed to avoid the hitch inverting. They're also nice and small which is convenient for setting up 2 anchors close together.
